Instructions: Answer each question honestly to assess your current security posture. Give yourself the points indicated for each "Yes" answer. Total your score at the end to see how you measure up.

Physical access control (5 points each)

  1. Do you lock all doors and windows when leaving your home or office?

  2. Have you changed default passwords on smart locks or security systems?

  3. Do you have a security system with monitoring installed?

  4. Are your work devices physically secured when you step away?

  5. Is your workspace positioned to prevent shoulder surfing?

  3. Is work conducted on a separate, password-protected Wi-Fi network?

Policies and training (5 points each)

  1. Do you have a written cybersecurity/remote work policy?

  2. Do you provide regular security awareness training?

  3. Do you have an incident response plan?

Scoring your security

Calculate your total score:

85-100 points: Excellent

You're doing a great job protecting your home/office! Continue regular reviews and updates to maintain this high standard.

65-84 points: Good

You have solid security practices in place but there's room for improvement. Focus on the areas where you didn't score points.

45-64 points: Fair

Your security needs attention. Prioritize implementing missing measures, especially password security and physical access controls.

Below 45 points: High Risk

Your home/office is vulnerable to security threats. Take immediate action on basic measures like strong passwords, locking doors, and updating software.
